Can you list my event on your site?
As long as it is a race and it is in Suffolk or Nassau County, the answer is "Yes." Just fill out the Race Info Form and I will list it as soon as I get around to it. I mostly list road races but I also try to list all the Triathlons/ Biathlons on LI as well.

I am sorry but I probably will not list your non-competitive charity event although I am sure it is for a great cause.

Yes, I know that Queens and Brooklyn are technically on Long Island but races in those places are more of interest to people that live in NYC rather than in Nassau or Suffolk county so not appropriate for this site. No, I probably do not want to make an exception for your race.

How can I join your club?
I am not a club, I am a web site. If you want to join a running club, go to the Club and Organ Page and pick out a club that seems right for you.

I am a beginning runner. What club should I join?
Most clubs welcome beginner runners so just contact any club that you see on the Clubs and Organ Page and ask them if they think you will fit into their organizations. An organization like GLIRC is especially suited for beginner runner so that might be a good place to start.

My young child really loves running. What club can he/ she join?
There is no club on Long Island that I know of that focuses on young runners. The clubs on Long Island are mostly focused on Raod Running and really are not appropriate for kids. I suggest you wait until the child is in Junior High or High School and have him/ her join the school team. If they compete in distance events before them, the probability of burn out is very high.

Where can I find the results of the race that I ran last weekend?
If it is not on the Race Results page, I do not have that info. Try to contact the race director. Google is amazingly helpful in this regard.

Can you send me info about a race I saw/ did not see on your site?
Short answer: No. Slightly longer answer: If you don't see the race info on the Race Calendar or a link to the race info on the site, I don't have it. Try to Google the race you are looking for.

I am going to be on Long Island next weekend. Where can I find a race or good place to run?
Check our the Race Calendar for races and the Favorite Runs for places to run.

I have a web site. Can I exchange links with your site?
Unless you are a Long Island Running Club or a Long Island running store, my experience has been that this is not something that users of this site are interested in
.
