Summer Running

Despite all good sense I am still running at about the hottest part of the day. I have an unfortunate tendency to push my runs too hard and, as a result, I get a variety of injuries to my tendons and muscles. I am in pretty bad shape but I still like to get out there and run so hard that I injury myself before I get a chance to get in good sahpe. The good thing about running during this really hot weather is that it is really difficult to run fast. It is so hard to just put one foot in front of the other that I really do not have to worry about going too fast and injuring myself. Not a training philiopshy I would suggest others try but it seems to be working for me.
