Late Fall Running
It is a New Year. Time for resolutions with the hope that they last more than the usual week or two that has been my own experience in the past. My particular resolution is three R's: Run more: Rest More; and Read more. I got this cool Garmen GPS watch for Christmas and it already has me running more. Hopefully the running will continue after the novelty of the watch wears off. I love knowing the exact distance of each run although I hear that it is not quite as accurate in NYC (where I work) due to the tall buildings blocking out the satelite signal at times. Here on LI, however, it seems to be verify accurate. As far as resting goes, it mostly involves trying to get 8 hours sleep a night which means forcing myself to go to bed earlier. I already am pretty good at avoiding over training but the sleep part of the equation has been missing in the past. As far as reading goes, the Ipad that I got for my birthday has made reading much more convenmient that I end up reading more. (Do I sound like a commenrcial for Garmen andd Apple?)
